Top 10 List Bookmark

Okay, time for everyone to break out of hibernation for this post! Kevin (Ryan's brother, Kevin) has offered to make us bookmarks for the wedding as little favors for everyone. So Ryan and I thought it would be cool to do the Top 10 Reasons We are Getting Married in a bookmark.

For this one I thought it would be nice if everyone help out. So post your Reasons Why We are Getting Married in the comment section. You don't have to post 10 whole reasons, just one or two. Whatever you feel like doing.

Here is the invitation we were considering (we are not actually going with this invitation so feel free to plagiarize a little), maybe that will help for some ideas:

Top 10 Reasons We're Getting Married:

10. The Psychic Hotline said we would

9. My schedule was open and I needed a new dress

8. We want to start our own web site together

7. We need a vacation

6. There's nothing else to do now that Melrose Place is canceled

5. We want His and Hers cellular phones

4. We haven't seen our family or friends in a while

3. My toaster is broken

2. We've got a major craving for wedding cake

But here's the number one reason we're getting married: We're in Love: of course

12 Comments:

  • Here's a few:

    Ryan grew weary of falling asleep on his way home.

    It would save everyone else from having to buy them two separate gifts for Christmas.

    As gas prices continue to rise, they figured it would cost less to get married than to commute back & forth to each other's houses.

    Two words: Amanda's cooking!

  • Give me time; I'll think of some more.

    Amanda promised to get Ryan a playstation 2

    Now when Ryan spends the night, Amanda can get him for half the rent.

    All the furniture in the loft has to go somewhere!

    Free waffle iron!

    How else can you get everyone you know to do the chicken dance and the electric slide in one night, while being (partially) sober?

  • Here goes:

    Ryan asked, and it was too good to pass up.

    We’re hoping for married couple discounts at the pool hall.

    Amanda has been reading all about weddings in the library and she thinks they look like fun.

    We want an excuse to throw an awesome party.

    Jack wants to learn how to be a wedding DJ, and this will give him a chance to practice.

    Mom & Dad Pedone want more grandkids.

    Two Words: Tax breaks!

    Alright, that is the extent of my creativity for one day. It's back to reading for me... I have a presentation tomorrow! I hope all is well. I'm really looking forward to catching up with you again when my workload eases up a little. *hug*

    Ohh and P.S. - I am NOT doing the electric slide!!!! :)

  • Carpooling is so much easier this way!

    When else can you get your friends and family to give speeches about you?

    You get to start a really cool blogsite!

    Will continue with more later, this is Ryan, by the way. Unfortunately, I have to go to this thing called work.

  • My turn to play:

    Nothing to do now that Alias was cancelled

  • Ryan's Mandisa vs. Mothra imitation.

    By Blogger Robin, at Thu Apr 06, 06:15:00 PM 2006

  • -We thought it was time for our loved ones to celebrate an event in November that did not involve a dead turkey;

    -I wanted to see if Ryan could really live without a dishwasher;

    -There's little else to do in the Poconos after the summer ends;

    -We ran out of new things to argure about; dj's, invitations and seating arrangements will hold us over for months;

    -We wanted a microwave and toaster oven to call our own;

    -We realized we would pay more taxes when listed as: "married, filing jointly";

  • Because neither Sandra Bullock, Keanu Reeves or Robin Williams will ever answer any of your marriage proposals.

  • Caity & Emmy are looking for cousins.

  • Two words... WEDDING BURGERS!

    We wanted to feel what its like to get pelted with rice.

    It will give us a momentary distraction from the impending doom of approaching finals.

    We wanted one more thing to celebrate during the holiday season.

    Oh, and in response to Marcy's comment, I can now fall asleep on my own couch whilst Amanda watches Dave's Top Ten list.

  • NEVER!

  • You wanted to give my children something to do while they "patiently" wait for Santa to arrive.

    It's been a while since Sr. Ellen has visited Mom & Dad & this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

    You like the ringing echo when kiddies cry in church during mass & were looking forward to Caity blurting out during the most sacred moment of the mass: "Mommy, I hafta go to the bafroom."

    And, of course, PARTY!
